Detto Cycles in Germany kindly let me publish these great close up pics of a Mitus 0.4. They’ve been really clever and focused on the new upgrades that have elevated the 0.4 from the previous Mitus.

The new Mitus now boasts an integrated seat post, a tapered 1 1/8” – 1 1/2″ headtube, BB30 technology and a completely new, re-designed rear RS triangle. The name of this does give a clue to it’s origins. It is basically the rear triangle from the Maxima RS (albeit without the hand drawn tube customisation). These changes have given the 0.4 a beefier front end, which will really help steering and cornering, and a vastly stiffer rear end, which increases take-up and power transfer. The Mitus 0.4 is manufactured with the same techniques as the Maxima RS, using Toray T900 carbon.

Already a popular frameset on the Italian Gran Fondo circuit, the new 0.4 has been picked up by quite a few of the riders from the Viner Factory Team. Sharing it’s DNA with the Maxima RS, it’s slightly more relaxed geometry make it a great long distance machine. Although. as with the majority of the Viner range, the Mitus 0.4 can be built made-to-measure.
