Dave Lloyd  kindly sent me this intriguing image he received from the Viner factory. It’s his Maxima RS frame ready to be cooked!

Sat in it’s bag, the frame is just about to be cured in Viner’s own autoclave, using state-of-the-art pressure and temperature curves, which means they can minutely control the internal as well as external aspects of the tubes, resulting in a very strong frame.

This is what I love about Viner – it’s the marriage of old school artisan crafts, italians not only using their skilled hands but also advanced technology to build better frames. It’s a bit like getting a suit made by a Saville Row tailor who uses Formula 1 technology!

The next stop for Dave Lloyd’s RS frame? Finishing and painting!
